TS ELIOT - Mural

Margate Railway Station will now have an original art installation in the waiting room on Platform 1.

It is a tiled mural designed by Arnold Schwartzman OBE RDI. The mural is funded by the T.S. Eliot Foundation to celebrate T.S. Eliot's famous poem The Waste Land, part of which he wrote whilst in Margate. Produced and Curated by Kamilla Blanche, who is proud to have produced a permanent mural in Margate
that honours Arnold's work in the creative fields of art and design in the town where he grew up. This Mural also celebrates the history of creative arts in the town of Margate, home to the Turner Museum that will host the Turner Prize for the first time in 2019.
