British born architect , John Parkinson was officially recognized with a plaque and street sign on May 3, 2013 designating "John Parkinson Day" in the City of Los Angeles. This dedication was part of the 8th Annual BritWeek, in honor of John Parkinson, premiere architect in the early 20th century. His work includes the Old Bank District, the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Union Station, Bullock's Wilshire and most importantly, Los Angeles City Hall.
